LXML Recognized as One of the Top 10 Best Employers in Laos

LXML was honored as one of the top 10 best employers in Laos at a ceremony held at the LXML Vientiane Office. The awards were presented by Mr. Anousone Luangkhot, General Manager of 108 jobs, a largest recruitment platform in Laos and his delegation. Attendees from LXML included Mrs. Daomany Chanphakeo, Deputy Director of LXML, Mr. Bounthanorm Khamkhosy, Senior Superintendent – Human Resources and team members.

LXML, a leading mining company, received prestigious recognition for its dedication to developing a strong labour market and enabling Lao workers to advance in their careers. This commitment is further underscored by LXML's impressive presence on the 108 Jobs website, where it ranks 6th in both follower engagement and the number of followers. The company was honoured with two awards: the Top Follower 2024 Award, recognizing its exceptional follower engagement on 108 Jobs, and the Most Active Employer Award, acknowledging its high volume of job postings.

"LXML is proud to be recognized as one of the top 10 best employers in Laos, " said Mrs. Daomany Chanphakeo, Deputy Director of LXML, "We believe that investing in our employees is essential to our success, and we are committed to providing them with opportunities for growth and development."

During a recent meeting, Mr. Bounthanorm Khamkhosy, Senior Superintendent of Human Resources, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the 108 Jobs Team. He acknowledged their invaluable support in the past, recognizing them as LXML's primary partner in promoting job opportunities. He stated, “The 108 Jobs platform has been instrumental in facilitating the company's recruitment efforts.” Furthermore, Mr. Bounthanorm engaged in an open exchange with the 108 Jobs Team, discussing strategies to expand LXML's reach in promoting job vacancies and attracting highly skilled candidates whose qualifications align with the company's requirements, thereby enhancing the overall quality of LXML's workforce.

LXML has made significant investments in human resources development, with a focus on enhancing the skills of its employees. The company has allocated over US$4 million for tertiary scholarships for Lao nationals and over US$680,000 to support training resources at the Savannakhet Vocational School. Since the initiation of these programs, a total of 10,625 trainees have completed training, with over 16,175 training hours delivered by the middle of 2024.

In addition to its investment in training, LXML prioritizes local labor and values its local workforce. The company boasts an impressive 93% ratio of Lao nationals among its approximately 4,000 employees and contractors, with 63% coming from local communities and 25% comprised of women. This reflects the company's commitment to promoting diversity and contributing to local development.

LXML is consistently empowers its employees through educational opportunities, offering a progressive policy that allows employees to pursue international studies. Recently, we supported two employees in their pursuit of master's degrees in New Zealand and Australia, demonstrating our commitment to helping our people grow professionally. Under this policy, employees can focus on their studies while remaining eligible to receive their full regular salary, providing them with the financial security to concentrate on their academic goals. As they return with new skills and expertise, we strengthen our talent pipeline and drive business success.

LXML's dedication to supporting its employees extends beyond training programs. The company annually funds the education of local students in the Vilabouly District, currently supporting 18 apprentices enrolled in the Lao-German Technical College (LGTC), with plans to study from 2024 to 2028. To date, LXML has provided over 23,000 training hours to Lao employees through a combination of internal and external training, on-the-job training, and international study programs.

LXML is committed to developing and promoting local talent to supervisor and manager positions through its well-regarded Supervisor and Leadership Development programs, which foster the next generation of skilled mining professionals in Laos.
