From September 4th to 7th, the World Gold Technology Conference, jointly organized by the China Gold Association, the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME) of the United States, the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum (CIM), the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), and the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM), was held in Shenyang,China. Chifeng Gold was invited to participate in this conference, and Mr. Lyu Xiaozhao, Co-Chairman of the Company, delivered a keynote speech on behalf of the company with the theme "Promoting World Mining Development through Cooperation." He shared insights and discussions on the current global mining development, internationalization trends in mining, Chifeng Gold's overseas acquisition journey, and the importance of ESG reporting in international mining development with representatives from domestic and international mining companies, professional industry organizations, financial institutions, experts, scholars, and mining colleagues.
During his speech, Mr. Lyu Xiaozhao analyzed the global distribution of mineral resources, the control of major mineral resources by leading mining companies worldwide, and the mineral policies of various countries concerning key mineral resources. He pointed out that global mining investment and development are facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. Strengthening international mining cooperation, resource, technology, capital, technical personnel exchange, and sharing successful experiences in various aspects are essential for promoting the stability and prosperity of the world mining industry and contributing to global economic recovery and development.
Mr. Lyu Xiaozhao also shared Chifeng Gold's international mining cooperation practices and emphasized the increasing importance of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) work in international mining cooperation and mine operations. Mr. Lyu Xiaozhao also engaged in discussions with the Minister of Mines from Zimbabwe, government representatives, and mining peers from South Africa, Canada, and other countries. They discussed the various challenges faced by Chinese mining companies investing overseas and reaffirmed their determination to overcome difficulties and jointly promote international mining development. They also exchanged views on potential mining cooperation opportunities.
Technical representatives from Chifeng Gold's subsidiary companies, Jilong Mining and Wulong Mining, specializing in geology, mining, mineral processing, and surveying, also attended the World Gold Technology Conference. They listened to lectures by industry technical experts at various forums, gained insights into the forefront of mining technology development, and explored collaboration opportunities with mining products and service providers.
