Recently, a delegation from LXML, led by Gao Bo, Director and Vice President of Chifeng Gold and Chairman of LXML, and composed of Carl Baker-Duly, General Manager of Sepon Mine, and other personnel visited Jilong Mining and Wulong Mining, domestic mining subsidiaries of Chifeng Gold.

On May 30, Mr. Gao Bo and LXML delegation visited Jilong Mining for investigation, accompanied by Wang Hong, Assistant President, Safety Director and Manager of Safety & Environment and Production Department of Chifeng Gold, Yan Guofeng, Deputy Chief Prospecting Engineer of Resource Exploration Department, Sun Lijun, General Manager of Jilong Mining, Li Huakun, Sun Haitao and Li Jiahe, Deputy General Managers of Jilong Mining, and responsible persons of relevant departments.

After the safety induction, Mr. Gao Bo and LXML delegation went deep into the underground mine to investigate and study the underground operation, learned about the underground operation, safety production, project progress, prospecting in deep areas and construction difficulties in detail, and watched the rock drilling operation together.

After the underground visit and investigation, they also visited the 180,000t/a gold ore processing expansion project to learn about the construction progress and processing process of the new processing plant.

After the on-site visit and investigation, they organized in-depth discussion and exchange in the conference room. Sun Lijun gave a detailed introduction on the current production task completion and cost control of Jilong Mining.

Carl Baker-Duly said that this visit and investigation is not only a journey of adventure but also a journey of learning. It is very important to communicate with each other, which can provide opportunities for sharing and learning. He also introduced in detail the metallogenic types, mineral processing process and cost reduction and control measures of Sepon Mine.

This visit and investigation has laid a solid foundation for deeper study and exchange between the two sides in the future. On June 1, Lyu Xiaozhao, Co-chairman of Chifeng Gold, Mr. Gao Bo and LXML delegation visited Wulong Mining for investigation.

Accompanied by Liu Jin, General Manager of Wulong Mining, and other managers, executives of Chifeng Gold and LXML delegation visited the mine control center, 3,000t/day processing plant, the level drive at No.19 sublevel of No.4 sub-mine, the 19107 development and mining face and No.4 sub-mine warehouse for field investigation.

After field investigation, a discussion session was held in the office building. Qiu Haicheng, Chief Engineer of Wulong Mining, reported the production and operation situation to executives of Chifeng Gold and LXML delegation. Managers of Wulong Mining interacted and communicated with LXML delegation on underground mining and management.

Carl Baker-Duly spoke highly of the automation of Wulong Mining’s production system, and pointed out that Sepon Mine should learn from Wulong Mining in the underground construction. Liu Jin, General Manager of Wulong Mining, said that Wulong Mining will fully support Sepon Mine in terms of technical support and experience sharing, and is also looking forward to learning international management concepts from Sepon Mine.
