Recently, VIP10000/ELREC high-power IP measuring equipment purchased by Sepon Mine Exploration Department of LXML in Laos from IRIS of France arrived at the mine site and put into use. The purpose of introducing this equipment is to improve the exploration efficiency and reduce the geophysical survey cost.

The VIP10000 transmitter introduced this time has a maximum output voltage of 3000V and a maximum output current of 20A, which can observe 10 channels at the same time, and working efficiency is obviously improved. Moreover, the signal penetration ability is strong, and the geological anomaly body can be discovered and delineated by using the physical property differences of rocks and ores. The interpretation results have a good indication effect for the early exploration of metal minerals and precious metal minerals related to metal sulfides.

According to the exploration plan in 2022, the IP measurement team of Sepon Mine Exploration Department, under the leadership of Wen Ming, the Senior Geophysical Engineer, plans to carry out IP measurement in seven favorable exploration targets in the east, south and west of the mining area, with a total design workload of 180 kilometers. It is estimated that more than 400 kilometers of IP measurement will be completed in the next two years.
