On February 4, LXML Sepon Mine held a ceremony to celebrate the ground breaking of underground roadway in Sepon Mining Area. This project will become the first modern underground mining project in Laos.

Paul Harris, General Manager of LXML, said, "Sepon has a mining history of thousands of years. As a new field, underground mining will expand the mining capacity and scale of Sepon through modern equipment and advanced mining technology, and further extend the service life of Sepon Mine". As a preliminary preparation, LXML began to introduce professional equipment a year ago, and the length of this project will exceed 1,700 meters.

Since Chifeng Gold acquired LXML in 2018, it has continuously invested capital and technology, continuously optimized the beneficiation and metallurgy process of primary ore, improved the beneficiation and metallurgy process, and made the beneficiation and metallurgy technology of mine increasingly mature. The ground breaking of this underground roadway means that LXML will take another step forward towards the goal of a world-class gold mine, relying on the huge potential of primary mineral resources in Sepon Mine.
