The application for renewal of the exploration right of Golden Star Resources Manso No. 1 was recently approved by the Ghanaian government department. On behalf of Mincom, the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources of Ghana expressed satisfaction and praise for the implementation of exploration plan in the reply to Golden Star Resources, recognized and confirmed that the exploration activities of Golden Star Resources were compliant and legal, and agreed to renew the exploration right of the Company in Manso area, with a validity period of three years.

Manso No. 1 exploration right is located in Manso area of Western Province of Ghana, covering an area of 101.57 square kilometers. After the successful renewal, the validity period of the exploration right will be extended to 2025. In addition to Manso No. 1, Golden Star Resources has two exploration rights and one pre-exploration right which is being converted into exploration right, with a total area of more than 70 square kilometers, and three mining rights in good condition, with a total area of 125 square kilometers.
