On July 18, Wang Jianhua, Chairman of Chifeng Gold, and his delegation paid a visit to Xaysomphone Phomvihane, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of Laos and Chairman of the Lao National Assembly, at the Lao National Assembly Building.

Xaysomphone Phomvihane extended a warm welcome to Wang Jianhua and his delegation. He said that LXML is the largest mining company in Laos and has made outstanding contributions to the economic and social development of Laos. “Last year, I had the honor to visit Sepon Mine. I found that the mine management was scientific and standardized, the environmental protection met high standards, the training and employment of local employees were emphasized, and the community development was vigorously supported, which made great progress,” Xaysomphone Phomvihane said. LXML is a model company of Laos, and the National Assembly will continue to support its development. It is hoped that Chifeng Gold can increase its investment in Laos, provide more employment opportunities, improve the income and living standards of local and surrounding communities, and make greater contributions to the economic and social development of Laos.

The mine production has doubled and the gold output hit a record high, bringing more than 5,000 jobs and actively supporting the community. Laos is rich in mineral resources and has a good mining development environment. The excellent quality, dedication and civilization of the Lao people are admirable. The strong support of Chairman Xaysomphone and government departments at all levels has strengthened Chifeng Gold’s determination and confidence in investment and development in Laos. Chifeng Gold will conscientiously respond to the requirements of Chairman Xaysomphone, increase investment, carry out large-scale integrated development of resources such as gold, copper and rare earth, adhere to the coordinated development with the local government and surrounding communities, and share the development benefits with investors, governments, communities, employees and other stakeholders.

Chairman Xaysomphone finally said that the resource integration and large-scale development of high-quality enterprises are in line with Laos’ economic development strategy. He welcomes and supports Chifeng Gold in a wider range of resource development in Laos, and hopes that Chifeng Gold will intensify efforts in the integrated development of gold, copper, rare earth and other resources. The National Assembly will coordinate with relevant government departments to provide support and services for Chifeng Gold’s investment projects.
