On July 21, Wang Jianhua, Chairman of Chifeng Gold visited Sonexay Siphandone, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee, Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Vice Premier of Laos at the Lao National Convention Center. Both sides made a pleasant and in-depth communication on further expanding the exploration of gold, copper and rare earth resources in Laos of Chifeng Gold for nearly two hours.

Sonexay Siphandone spoke highly of the operation of LXML Sepon mine. He said that Laos had rich mineral resources and mining industry was one of main sources of fiscal revenue of Laos. At present, Laos encounters certain difficulties in economic development. LXML Sepon mine realizes sustainable development under the operation of Chifeng Gold, providing lots of local jobs, which has contributed considerable financial revenue and foreign exchange to Laos. The Lao government supports Chifeng Gold for exploitation of a larger variety of mineral resources in a larger scope and on a larger scale, extension of industrial chain, and deep processing business of gold, rare earth and other resources in Laos.

Wang Jianhua mentioned that LXML was the key overseas investment project of Chifeng Gold in Laos, because there were stable political and economic policies and favorable investment environment and Lao people were simple and good-hearted. With full support and high praise of Lao governments and departments at different levels, LXML could be sustainably developed and have the potential to be a world-class mine. Chifeng Gold pursued long-term development rather than short-term yield, expected to jointly develop mineral resources with Lao governments, and would continue to increase investment, strengthen the exploration of gold, copper, rare earth and other resources, create more jobs, drive the development of local community, and make greater contributions to economic and social development of Laos.

Sonexay Siphandone appreciated the will of Chairman Wang Jianhua to continue to increase investment. Lao government is willing to make an all-round cooperation with Chifeng Gold in many ways, welcome Chifeng Gold to increase investment in Laos and introduce more partners to jointly invest and develop in Laos, and coordinate with relevant government sectors to provide support in resource integration, project approval and license handling.
